So, I am very excited, we are definately going to Dixie Chicks!! Whoo hoo!! And...tickets were only $85. I can't believe the amount of money that people spend on tickets to these concerts. These ones are even more expensive then Brooks and Dunn were!! REDICULOUS!! But, I mean...it is the Dixie Chicks. At least I'm not even tempted to spend $139 on Mariah Carey. But...the Beach Boys are coming to the 'Peg. I might have to spring for those tickets. Apparently though, they are not going to be all that expensive which is a good thing! I might have to convince mom and dad that they should go too!! I mean, really, how often do you get the chance to see the Beach Boys???


So last night was Sang and Allison's wedding social. It was very fun. the DJ was great. I couldn't believe when Madonna's Material girl came on, it's a good one, especially since you don't get to hear it too often. We didn't win any prizes but I guess you can't win them all. I was sad that Colin couldn't be there, he's always the life of the party!! But I understand that he had other commitments. All in all... a ten on the fun scale. I must say that I love that mom came out and danced to the country with us!!!

NEXT WEEKEND IS DAUPHIN COUNTRY FEST. I can't wait. Ican't believe that it is so soon. We got our tickets in February. I thought that this weekend would never come, but thank goodness, even with my death threat, it is coming!! I hope that I get to meet someone famous. How cool would that be?? I think that I would die! Especially if I met Terri Clark, I've decided that she should be my hero!! Anyone know where I can get a shirt that says "Canadian girls lie too"?? She wore one that said that at her concert with Brad Paisley and since she's my hero and all I think that I should emulate her! Is emulate the right word?? I'm not sure I know what the word emulate means. Oh well. either way when I grow up I want to be just like her!!

So the Jays lost today....are we shocked?? not so much. I think that they need to stop stinking up the joint. Oh well...at least they lost to a good team in the mets, not some crappy team. Can I just say that I don't like interleague play. It frusterates me, especially since the Jays can't seem to win during interleague play. grr, I'm just frusterated with them right now.

I think that there was one more thing that I wanted to comment on, but I can't seem to remember at this moment, so I will leave you here. later

never a dull moment

So, it's been quite an intersting few days for me. Did I mention that I got yelled at at work last week? Well, I did...it was quite unfortunate. Mrs. Ahsan, my boss's wife is also my back-up, if heaven forbid...i need a day off. Well, I asked for two days off at the end of the month, one for Michelle's grad and the other for Dauphin Country-fest (yay). She freaked out on me. You haven't even been here a year, you are not entitled to time off. Well, I got very upset and started to cry after she left. Then she decided that I could have the friday off for Dauphin, bu thte Tuesday is not good for here so I have to work. How heartless eh?? Grr, she made me very upset. roar!

Then today at work I got a death threat. Some crazy patient that Dr. Ahsan saw 2 years ago needs some sort of form signed by a specialist and I told him that he is not under Dr. Ahsan's care (he no showed for his last 2 appointments and never finished his care with the doctor). i told him to go back to his family doctor to see what they can do for him. Well, apparently he's a little short on cash and the signing of this form would give him access to some money, he was not so impressed with my answer and proceded to call me some nasty names and say some things that any normal person would later regret...is he any normal person, doubt it.

But now it is Thursday night and we are getting a couch tonight!! Riffany bought the most amazing couch EVER. And all of our new carpet is installed!!! Our apartment is almost brand new...just a new bath tub on the 20th and it is finished!!!!! yay.

Sad news. My hamsters, Beau and Tom...they didn't make it through the changing of the carpet. They were both fine one minute and an hour later, both were stiff as boards. It was awful! I guess their little bodies couldn't handle the carpet glue in closed quarters. RIP little guys. I feel like I failed them, they were so helpless.

Well, gotta tidy up before the couch gets here and then off to baseball! I have a good feeling about tonight's game. On Sunday, I scored the winning run!! I think the success will continue!!!!

oh baseball, always breaking my heart

So, played ball 3 times last sunday, we lost two of the three games...yikes. Then we played the master batters (one of the teams that beat us on sunday) again on thursday night and lost again. Then we played friday night too and lost really badly (we gave up 18 runs in the second inning and lost 26-6) Not only did we lose on friday night, we also found out that we had completely missed a game on thursday night...we were supposed to play a double header...opps. talk about adding insult to injury. so lets just say it hasn't quite been a great baseball week. BUT we play two games tomorrow (sunday) so hopefully we can pull up our socks and get back some wins. anyone watch the jays game last night and today. 8 runs in the 8th wow!! that was fun last night!!! unfortunately, Ted Lilley didn't get that sort of support today, but he gained my respect if that means anything!!

So, who's getting excited about Big Brother All Stars????? I can't wait until June 20th. NOT only is it the day that the last of the renovations are happening to the apartment, it's the night that BB begins...kinda. I hope that there are some good people for the public to chose from to go into the house. i hope that there are some people from the long ago, very different first season of the show. that would make me very happy!!

20 days until Dauphin Countryfest!!! I can not wait. I can't believe that it is so soon!!! We bought tickets way back in february and now it is only 20 days away. I haven't camped in so long that this will be extra fun in that respect. Plus I get to be surrounded by cowboys, heck yes!!!!! And Terri Clark is like my hero!! I hope that you are all very jealous of me!! because you all should be, well, all of you that enjoy country music anyways!!!

now that I've wow'd you all with my life for the last week I should sign off. what is my exciting life holding for me tonight you may ask. well, i have a date. his name is Angel, he's a vampire and i'm addicted to hie shirtlessness!!! teheh. later

hello all

So, i think that it may have been awhile since the last post. I wasn't slacking, I swear!We just set up the internet in the new place today and until now i think that in the last 3 weeks I have only been on the internet once at my parent's place, and that was to fill out the census!

So, we are all settled into the new place, we cleaned eerything up today, i think that it finally looks like someone is living here and not just passing through. There are pictures on the wall and my half naked cowboy calendar is now in plain view for all to see!!! Buster is much happier here, he especially enjoys the fact that he gets to wander into my room at all hours of the night to wake me up to play. I think that we have Tinkerbelle to thank for that. I am not hte kitten that Tink is, i do not want to play at 4 in the morning...try and explain that to a whiny cat!!

Can I just tell you that Baseball is an evil sport. I have started playing on a slowpitch team (harder than it sounds...even for someone who played ball all their life!). My legs are not in the same condition that they were in all those years ago. By the 3rd inning I want to cry they hurt so much, but there is no crying in baseball!!! I'm playing pretty well and my team is currently 3rd in the standings. Last night we mercied a team 16-1, it was great fun. I hit a single and a double and walked 3 times. Also playing short stop, I was instrumental in quite a few plays!! Go me! If anyone ever wants to come out to see me play, let me knkow, the schedule always changes. however we are playing 3 games on Sunday night, yikes I'll be hurting on Monday morning!

So I have to go and tidy up my room, i think that people are coming over tonight and then I think I will meet the man of my dreams at either the bar or a wedding social tonight so I have to look all cute and such, thus I need hours to get ready! later gator!
