HAppy Birthday...to me

So tomorrow is my birthday! the big 2-2. I love my birthday, always have...I could go without the "another year older" thing, but birthdays are fun!

Last night I went to my parents house for my family birthday dinner. It was so good. We had ribs (my favourite) and rice and potato and macaroni salad, and regular salad and dairy queen ice cream cake for dessert. It was great. Michelle got me that board game...Scene it, the friends edition (we all know about my friends obsession!). Dad got me the Garth BRooks special edition set from Walmart (GArth is a God!!). Mom got me a battery charger for the camera that she bought me for Christmas and Walk the Line (best movie...ever!). Mary and Colin got me a plain black comforter that I have been wanting since I moved into my own place. Can I just say that I didn't even have a birthday list and I got everything that I could have wanted!! It was sad that Chris and Claire weren't here, but I got to talk to Chris quickly (it was fantasy baseball draft last night, so he was busy). When I got off the phone I realised that I didn't send my best to Claire and baby, so I'll do that now...I love you all and miss you and I wish you happiness and health!!

So tomorrow...my "real" birthday. I have to work all day becuase unfortunately i was not born on a national holiday (darn). but then i am going to the gym (yay) and then coming home to sit on my bum!! Why you might ask, would i go to the gym on my birthday? That's because Tiffany is making a birthday dinner!! Meatloaf and corn potatos and gravy. then for dessert...a brownie ice cream cake...think i like ice cream much??? I'm so excited! That is why I have to go to the gym, I have all this good food to eat when i get home!

So the next time I chat with everyone I will be another year older...and another year wiser???

Disney World please

Hello all!!! SO, I think I want to go to Disney World. well, actually, I know I want to go to Disney World, it's just a matter of getting there. I was thinking of going in August...apparently that's the off season because it gets so darn hot down there. I take after my dad and I'm not a huge fan of crowds, that's why I was thinking off season. Anyways, if anyone has any ideas as to how I can do this fairly inexpensively, I am more than willing to listen! Also if anyone would care to join me you are more than welcome...as long as you pay your own way...and shower on a daily basis, you tend to learn alot about your friends that you don't need to know on this type of trip!! So team, think about it!!

concrete angel

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born
Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel
Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

hey cutie!!

Hello...how cute am I??? I thought that I had to share that picture with the world! I would like to thank the Academy...well actually I'd just like to thank Tiffany for taking the picture and Lindsay for coming into town so that I had an occasion to get all dolled up for! And whoever invented the straigtening iron so that I could have cute bangs!!

You know why I like to blog?? Cause I get to talk about me! Being a middle child is tough, hard to get a word in edgewise when you listening to the events that happen in 3 other kids lives! Not that I would change that for anything because I couldn't imagine not being surrounded by wonderful people who I know will love me unconditionally!! You just learn quickly to get the important news out first, and the little thoughts get stored away for a more convient (sp??) and quiet time!

Shout out to Chris and Claire - how funny is all this business with Green Gates??? Everytime I read about I think of you guys and how lucky it was that this didn't happened at this time last year! It's kinda sad though becuase it was a beautiful facility and they made great cosmos!!

so last night was interesting. I was tidying my room, so my bed had a whole bunch of books and clothes on it, so I decided rather than try to cleqan all that up when I was ready for bed, I would just pass out on the couch, let me tell ya, it was not a restful night. I passed out around 11, I knkow, I'm very cool, 11 on a saturday night!! I was then woken up at 1, when Norman and a few of the guys got home, they were most definately not quiet!! Tiffany got up at that point and was sitting on the couch talking to me, do I remember what she said??? not really... then Jessica called around the same time and asked Norman to let Keeler out, Norman however, did not want to, I think poor conehead puppy did end up going out! Jess got home around 230ish i think. I semi remember having a few words with her, sort of a what time is it conversation concluding with....where have you been then followed by going right back to sleep. Then Buster crawled over me all night long. Woke up this morning when Jess asked if we were still going to go to PAncake house, sure why not, it had been like 20 hours since I had left the couch...not completely true...but i did spend the majority of my saturday on the couch...don't judge me, I had a rough week, and I pried myselof away from it long enough to go to the gym with mom!

So as I mentioned, poor Keeler is wearing a cone at the moment...he was fixed earlier this week. I think that it is hilarious. It's so sad though cause he is such a puppy and wants to play, but the cone makes that difficult, I we can't rough him around too much because you really don't want to hit the sensitive area. I think that he is getting quite used to the whole cone adventure, and I for one am going to be sad to see it go, it's so much easier to play with him knowing that you have the upper hand!

beautiful

Ahhh, just got out of a nice HOT shower after a long hard day at work...well, actually work consisted of me having a nap midday and leaving about a half hour early, so it wasn't that hard, but I have to go to Sobeys tonight, so i think that makes up for it, plus i have worked without a break for...13 days...so i've decided that i'm allowed to be a slacker!

So yesterday was out for lunch with Cecile, and bumped into Al, he's the husband of my "work mom" Katherine. He was outside City Place sneaking a cigarette...anyways, he had the hottest young business man with him, and I know that I have sworn off men for the time being, but can I just say, WOW. i was so caught up in him, i completely missed his name. he was beautiful!!

on that note, i have like 8 people talking to me on msn, so i really can't finish this now. later peeps
